Tour Diary_ I am Livingston in Canada..

Was walking a little fast in a hurry through Simcoe street in Toronto for my visa interview  i saw a bike tied to a grill on the pavement of the road which caught my attention. The bike was tied with a lock as heavy as its wheel. Suddenly, one of the old sayings which i hear in child hood in Radio came to my mind, "One Country's safety, theft all can justified from the size of the lock they have.  Just had a laugh and move on..

I am in Canada for a week and started observing how far the country is different from those i have known based on my personal experience. Toronto( For all our Desi 's ,It has to be pronounced as "Torono").has a good Interlink facilities and connectivity through Bus and Train and it is costlier. A single trip to the city from outskirts may cause you a day's meal from outskirts such as Mississauga.  The trains are fashionable and Maple leave flavored. People here are good. I can easily see a good amount of Desi people's like New Jersey. I just go and Chat with them in Hindi.. Sometimes, I felt being in US for a few years, It is not as clean though like US. Maybe because of relaxed immigration rules.

Also,I found some heart aching experiences while i am at the consulate for the visa interview. I saw an hoarding out there and a saying in similar lines, "Falsifying information to get a visa, may open the doors but sometimes It will shut a door for once. " and then there was a portrait of a black man behind bars. I was so keen into the details initially and now concentrated on  the face of the black man.  I am stunned.

Just had a thought, How many Nelson Mandela do we need?  How many Abraham Lincoln we need? Why in this world always we always say? There is a crime down the street. Yeah man, That black man would have did.  There are two ways to look at it. One common way is a racist nature. why a white man was not shown behind bars?  Why alone white man should suffer. Be generous. A portrait of a man without a face or skin color blacked out could have been better.  Second thought is as a society what we have to do welfare of our fellow human beings? Education is a best medicine as a nation to grow. Empowerment of people irrespective of the races, Equal opportunity employment for all peoples irrespective of races. A nation has to be always for the people, by the people and to the people irrespective of ethnicity.

I agreed and became a dog..

When a new mail comes, Appreciating others

Who's Who on Behavioral Management

There are always other people — be they relatives, fellow commuters, neighbors, or coworkers — who we are at risk of tangling with - As Some one said.. 

If you work with some one you dont like .. Then you are here at the right page. Always it will be a brain drain when working with such jerks is a certain in affecting your attitude and energy levels and it will deduct money from your Emotional Intelligence bank account..

Avoidance is  a best strategy to hit the border and crisis...Still you will be turned off..and not always you can avoid.. What we can do is all to control our reactions proactively.. Using what if 's  and what we need to respond..proactively..instead of being reactive.. Its always better to have a relaxation technique.. This will always enhance your ability to handle the stress and the same way we shall divert ourselves from the stress and concentrate on the activity...

While working at a corporate setup, More than often we will be in a displeasure and tempt to bruise shoulders with one another. Say for example , The office gossips about some person X.. When Y and Z are talking about X. Y's statement targeted at Z about X is nothing but. The Y's frustuation is bestowed upon Z ..about X is actually a self laid pit that you are falling. The Z's vested interest and behavior will change towards Y. So, Y actually brought down Z. If you want to still have a better networking of friends. Then this network of friends need to be chosen carefully.Ideally, It is better to choose friends outside office network so that vent, dent, libel, slander are all possible .

Gone are those times where we have that age old concept of Work life balance that followed in the 18th 19 th century european countries successfully. With ethics and economics changing the game dynamics and we are always lagging behind in following the unsuccessful principle at this point of time. In a country where 45 hours per week is mandated, It is generally pushed more than 60 hours and it is encouraged to stay competitive in the market.. If we persist and resist.. In the Name of Globalisation, The piece of work will be distributed to a country's market who works more hours.

 It is always said , I am the favourite person for me.. The more differences we have with some one, we have more likely to have negative reaction, behavior to them.. Focus on the behaviour.. not the traits that will help you distinguish the typecastings , true likes and dislikes. So, Start with the Hypothesis that the person is doing things you dont like but is a good person..  We also need to understand whats your role in the bothering things..We shall find out easily that a reaction X triggered Y and inturns Z causing this hypothetical behaviour.  Accept that your reaction is a part of the problem and look out for patterns.. Wherever you go, There is a problem means.. There 's a problem in you...

Electronic as well as Physical Intrusion into a place that is in this sense private may constitute a violation of the Fourth Amendment. Invasion of a constitutionally protected area by Federal authorities is presumptively unreasonable in the absence of warrant.

The existence of privacy is  determined as,"If the individual has exhibited an actual (subjective) expectation of privacy" Eg. Private portions of a public domain, Expectation of privacy in his car.

"Society is prepared to recognize that this expectation is (objectively) reasonable", then there is a right of privacy in the given circumstances..

On a contradictory note, Not how far this privacy is established or where the line is drawn is always unknown? So to explore the possibilities of Hackers and then downgrade them by safe guarding one self against an intrusion. In a wired world, How to protect your gmail account where there is a minimal safety?

Last activity session of your gmail will show where your gmail account is used.. Click on Details to get down further details.

If you have multiple logins say iphone,  office computer, or some other location then it will be

                 “Last account activity : 23 minutes ago on this ip” It will show. 

Once we click on the Details(locate in  Last account activity line), A popup will open and you can see from which location this account has been used and what ip address is accessing your account. If it is hacked, then it might be some unknown ip . if not it will be your service provider ip address. 

If you still suspect that a hacker is located in your location itself, you can nail down further by.. copying the ip address listed in the popup.. and go to http://whois.domaintools.com/  to identify whose ip address is that.

Assume that if your account is hacked,to play safe, It is advisable that change your google password and security questions. In the popup there will be an option to sign out from all other sessions..(say if you sign in at a public place to your google and you forgot to sign out..)

To change your password and identity secret question, Please select a security question that will nowhere be a clue to a password. A password/security questions should not be any known name across your circle in society(It should not be ur date of birth, employee id, Mothers name..)

I am the unlikest person in terms of birthday presents.. Because, In school days, my birthday generally falls on Half yearly holidays.. and In college days, It would be in Winter Holidays.. So, 90% presents will be gone.. After College too misery continues.. 2007 - Celebrated, 2008 - Celebrated, 2009 - No , 2010 - Yes , 2011 - No

Story continues.... I dont know what connection I have with watches and clocks.. 90% of my gifts/ prizes are watches and clocks.. 2009 - Gift was an alarm clock.. 2010 - Wrist watch ..Because of this since my High school, I stopped wearing watches..except this year because I value the person who gifted it, one of my well wisher. I even save the gift wrappers in memory.

 

In Every other friend's birthday, I will be very happy and at times jealous.. Because I never got to enjoy and have that much blast in my birthday.. I will be very happy and make things lively around there.. From inside it hurts, because I know its value..

 

Jan 3, 2010 Birthday Cake

A recap at US, When I started from India. It is a day before birthday.. I had cut a Bun on my Birthday which I bought from India in EXTENDED STAY with my friend Gaurav who I knew for just ten days. Next day, I was telling everyone who I meet (I met them for the first time, I dont even know their names..I looked upon them and told that today is my birthday.. Please wish me.. )  and I got a present of Alarm clock. 

 

In 2010, I had a big blast. It is a memorable moment with lot of presents and blessings from elders. In 2011, back to square one. I am released from my current project and in a week or two, I will be travelling to new location.. Most of them around me were very sad..

 

I got lot of presents only in the past years.. But that is not what I look for here. On this day, I am looking for birthday wishes from all those who were a part of my life's journey at different point of times with mixed feelings. 

As it is said, 'All the good blessings bestowed upon u, will always protect you '. At this point of life, I am looking back at those people who helped me as a person to grew and mould me better. I am going to appreciate them individually for their deeds and insists them do continue the work with same passion for the coming generations.
